About Me
I am a self-taught artist. Art has been my passion since I began drawing as a small child. I create figurative works, landscapes and the occasional still life, but my true passion is portraiture. My mediums of choice are graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel and watercolor. I strive to create unique, sensitive and insightful portraits to portray not just the outer likeness of my subjects, but their inner character and personality as well.
As a self-taught artist I am constantly absorbing all the knowledge I can from books, magazines, articles and discussions with colleagues so that I can continue to improve my art.
I not only love to create, but also enjoy sharing what I’ve learned. In 2016 I began teaching Basic Drawing and Portraiture at the Mechanicsburg Art Center and Portraiture at the Art Association of Harrisburg. I want to be able to help ignite in others the same passion that I have for creating art.
